Here at Sword and Staff Adventures, our goal is to provide space where kids can get creative, have a great time, and develop some fundamental social skills. We do this through the popular tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons in a virtual setting.

Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is a roleplaying game set within a world where the fantastic is real. It combines elements of improv, character acting, and classic make-believe, so that the game is driven by the imaginations of the participants. Their choices and actions will determine where our story goes!

Everyone plays as a character that they get to create and mold to their liking. After characters are created, they form a band of heroes seeking out excitement and people in need. As a group, these heroes will be put to the test to solve problems and overcome obstacles so grand that many dare not even try.

The heroes are guided through a series of adventures by their storyteller – commonly referred to as the Dungeon Master or DM. The DM gives general instructions, plays characters which the heroes might encounter, and helps inform the plot.

Ultimately, the heroes are responsible for the outcome of their adventure. The class will have to work through challenges and make decisions together. The story shapes itself around the adventurers and reacts to what they do, truly giving life to the world around them.
